American Roulette - Casino Roulette

The game of American Roulette is very easy to play, however if you are new to the game at first glance it can appear a very intimidating game to play.

The first thing you should do if you intend to give the game a try is purchase chips from the Dealer, it is worth noting that once you lay your bank notes onto the layout in front of you the Dealer will then allocate you a color of chips, which are unique to that table and yourself.

The reason for allocating you unique casino chips is simply so the Dealer can identify whose chips on the layout belong to whom.

Once you have your big pile of chips in front of you then you simply need to place them where you want on the layout, you can only do this when the Dealer has finished paying out and clearing all the previous games winners and losing bets.

There are many different betting options on American Roulette, the most popular are the Even money bets like the Red or Black, Odd or Even or High or Low bets.

These all payout at 1-1 should you guess correctly, but there will be a minimum bet on all these "outside" bets, and this will be identified by a little sign on the table, so always make sure you place the minimum bet when placing this type of wager or the Dealer will get annoyed!

Should you prefer to go for some big paying bets then you should be looking to place your chips on the "inside" bets, these include the single number bets or straight up bets as they are also called.

On this type of a bet you are simply picking one number that you hope will be spun in, you can bet on any of the numbers from 1-36 and also you may place a wager on either the single zero or the double zero.

If you place a wager on one number and it is indeed spun in then you will be rewarded with a large payoff that is 35-1.

The inside bets also offer more betting options than just the single numbers bets, one other wagering option is a split number bet.

To place a split number bet you simply lay your chip in the line that separates any two numbers, that chips then ensures that if either number is spun in you will get a winning payout that is valued at 17-1.

All the leading online casino software companies have their own versions of American Roulette and these can be found in the gaming suites of all casinos that are powered by that software supplier.
